Green Theme- Feeling Fresh this winter!

Have you ever stopped to wonder what your office environment says about you and the company that you work for?  This month we are all about going GREEN and promoting environment friendly information to savvy up your business and property knowledge. According to the HRI (Horticultural Research Institute) it was determined that interior plants can directly effect the productivity of your workforce by reducing stress and anxiety levels, thus creating a harmonic environment for staff and at the same time promoting your business image for clients coming into your work space. In our second article, we focus on key factors such as electricity and water consumption, but to bind all this together, we figured that we would give you some interior design tips to impliment that “natury feel” in the office.

To bring out the “Green Theme” one could focus on adding wooden elements i.e. wooden floors, rustic wooden furniture etc. into the work environment.  One of the benefits of course is that this doesn’t even have to take a huge knock out of the budget as a lot of the furniture could be hand-made or painted to suit your desired look.

Plants is another important element.  For a modern feel, simplicity is key.  Focus on keeping it basic and clean.  Palm tree types are a popular choice.

Lastly, the colour scheme.  Think of colours that one would find in nature such as browns, beiges, and different shades of green. Index works with a variety of well established companies who could transform your work environment into a green paradise.
